OPEN DECK HOISTING MACHINERY

Hoisting machinery that employs a base mounted motor and gearcase, each coupled to the winding drum by means of forged steel, readily accessible, bolted couplings. Generally used in applications requiring high capacity lifts and/or high duty cycles.

OPERATOR STATION

Enclosure with spring return push buttons to allow an individual to control each motorized function of a crane. Can be hardwired pendant or a remote radio transmitter.

OVERHEAD CRANE

A type of crane where the hook-and-line mechanism runs along a horizontal beam. It typically consists of a hoist to lift the items, the movable bridge, which spans the area covered by the crane and a trolley to move along the bridge on an overhead fixed runway structure. Overhead Cranes are similar to gantry cranes. .

OVERLOAD LIMIT DRIVE

This device is an emergency device intended to permit the hoist to lift a freely suspended load within its rated capacity, but prevents lifting of an overload that would cause permanent damage to a properly maintained hoist, trolley or crane.
