The ED-V belongs to the Harrington ED Series of single-phase electric chain hoists with a variable (adjustable) single-speed motor rather than fixed or dual-speed. “V” stands for Variable Single Speed: the hoist is set at a standard speed at the factory, but the speed can be adjusted (increased) by making a simple internal adjustment — giving flexibility depending on your lifting needs. ED-V is designed for applications where you want fast lifting when possible, but still need the flexibility of tuning the speed according to load or operation.
