Part identification help What this part does, wear signs, and inspection guidance

Common signs of wear

Grooving, deformation, cracking, sharp edges, looseness or wear where the chain passes the stripper.

Possible symptoms

Possible signs include load chain rubbing, binding, bunching, rough chain travel, abnormal chain noise, or poor chain separation at the load sheave.

Inspection / ordering tip

Inspect chain-contact surfaces for grooves, sharp edges, cracks or deformation and verify the chain passes the stripper smoothly without rubbing or binding.

Guidance basis: Chain stripper listed as chaining-parts callout 7. It guides/separates the load chain as it enters and leaves the load sheave. Reference: Coffing JLC680-1, Fig. 23 and chaining parts list, pp. 30-31; https://www.coffinghoist.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/Coffing-JLC-Manual.pdf
